I had a terrible experience renting from Paul, the landlord, who was completely unprofessional and frequently harassed us by showing up unannounced, often without respect for our privacy. The flat itself was damp and noisy, and we faced serious safety issues with downstairs tenants who had gang connections and even made death threats against us. Despite our concerns and the legal advice we sought, Paul did nothing to address the situation, ultimately forcing us to move out without notice and leaving us unable to reclaim our bond. The only positive aspect was my flatmates, but overall, I strongly advise against renting from this landlord.
