The flat is very cheap and just a 10-second walk to the library, making it the best thing about living here. However, the bathroom is quite mouldy, and the fridge and kitchen are small. The landlord is pretty uninvolved, giving us our space, but an old man comes by every two weeks to do the lawns and take out the rubbish. Overall, it's the epitome of a scarfie flat.

You get what you pay for with this flat—it's cheap and in an ideal location about 100m from the library and close to town. The house does have issues, like being cold and damp, and the seals around the windows are pretty bad, but the landlord is pretty good and quick to address things. Overall, the best aspects are the location and cost, though I feel like the landlord expects us not to complain too much since we knew what we were moving into.
The house has its pros and cons. It's extremely close to uni, but the washing machine is right next to the kitchen and not separated off, which is inconvenient. Also, the rooms on the second floor can get very warm in summer. On top of that, the landlord only responds to direct calls and doesn't reply to texts about issues tenants want to discuss.
The house has good-sized bedrooms, but the bathroom and toilet are very small, and the downstairs bedroom is much colder than the others. The upstairs gets more sun and is warmer, though the steep stairs can be a bit of a hassle. The landlord is friendly, but I often have to chase him up for repairs. On the plus side, the location is ridiculously convenient.
