The house has a newly renovated kitchen and bathroom, and the interior paint makes it quite nice, with decent-sized rooms. The landlord is very helpful and quick to fix problems; for instance, when the TV broke, he replaced it within the week. The best thing about the flat is its location, but the worst is the dodgy outside stairs and the lack of double glazing, which could improve it even more.

I recently lived in a flat that was recently renovated, featuring a really nice kitchen and bathrooms, decent-sized bedrooms, and a great location close to the university. It stays warm when heated and gets plenty of sun, with minimal street noise despite being on Forth Street. The landlord is fairly responsive and addressed a leak in one of the bedrooms quickly, offering generous compensation for the inconvenience, making him one of the best I've had. My only complaint would be that the steps from the street to the house are quite dangerous and need repair, but overall, this flat is a great place to live!
The flat has a modern kitchen and bathroom and is quite tidy overall, but it is very damp, especially on the exterior walls of the bedrooms. I love the location, as I can get to uni in just five minutes, and the small size makes it easy to maintain. While two rooms are double glazed, it hasn't made much difference in reducing the dampness. Overall, it's a slightly above average flat, and the landlord is reasonable and quick to reply to texts.
I really enjoyed living in this very warm flat, which is fully insulated and double glazed, making it toasty on sunny days. The modern kitchen and bathroom, along with the heat pump and amenities like a washer, dryer, and fridge/freezer, were great. The landlord was a good bloke who replied promptly to any issues we had. The best part was its warmth and proximity to the university, though climbing up Clyde Street was a bit of a downside.
I lived in a warm, sunny flat in a good location, but the landlord neglected to mention that it couldn't get internet, which made it a complete waste of time for a student like me. There was no rent reduction offered, and the landlord showed little empathy regarding the situation. If the internet issue were resolved, I would rate the flat a solid 4/5, as it has modern furnishings, good sound insulation from the outside, and three rooms that get plenty of sun throughout the day.
The house has a great backyard, which is definitely the best feature. However, I found the high ceilings to be a downside. Overall, my experience has been mixed.
The house has a low ceiling in the lounge, which keeps it warm all winter long, and I found it cozy, especially since the front two rooms and the upstairs room pick up Studholmes internet. We didn't have any dealings with the new property manager after ours moved jobs, but Edinburgh seems pretty good. The best part was how quickly it heated up, though the ranchslider was a bit sticky to close.
