I lived in a nice flat with outstanding water pressure, and the shower was definitely the best thing about it. Aimee and Sarah were both very helpful and reliable managers. However, the kitchen was a bit dinky and lacked an extractor fan, which was a downside.

Overall, this flat meets my expectations, with amazing shower pressure and decent heat retention despite the single-glazed windows. However, the kitchen needs redevelopment, and the southern end has almost no sunlight. Aimee is an absolute saint—she's the best landlord I've had in my entire time at Dunedin. The view is great, but the gaps in the windows and thin walls are definitely drawbacks.
The flat itself is okay for the price, but I've had a horrible experience with the property manager. It gets no light, is really cold, and isn't very soundproof. She promised repairs but then claimed she couldn't do them without the owner's permission, and the flat and carpets were disgusting when I moved in. Honestly, there's too much to list in terms of issues, but the price is the only redeeming factor.
The house was cheap, which was definitely a plus, but I had lots of problems with the landlord and the worst part was dealing with Otago Property Management. Overall, my experience was quite frustrating.
The property manager was terrible, and the landlord was unreliable and lied to us, but considering the price, the house was amazing. The best thing about it was definitely the views, although the worst part was the steep hill we had to climb.
