The location of the flat is the best thing about it, but there are significant downsides. Only one room in the whole house gets sunlight, and the kitchen bench space is tiny. The switchboard trips constantly when the heaters are on, and there's no heat pump. While the landlord will listen to complaints, they ultimately do nothing to address the issues.

The location of the flat was the best thing about it, but the house itself was seriously damp, cold, and mouldy, leaving us all constantly sick and miserable for the entire year. Our landlord conducted regular inspections but never addressed any of our concerns, and when hundreds of dollars worth of our clothes and shoes were damaged by mould, she unfairly blamed us for the damages.
The flat doesn't get much sun due to neighboring buildings and lacks insulation, which is a downside. While the neighbors can be noisy, the rooms are soundproof, and I appreciate the great room sizes and the relatively new kitchen. The landlord is a quirky guy who is dedicated but often forgets things; he tends to cut corners with maintenance, though he responds quickly to urgent issues. The best thing about this place is definitely the location, while the worst is the insulation.
Overall, it's a pretty good flat with a great location, but I have a few small complaints. The back door lets out a lot of heat, and while there's another door separating the lounge from the back area, the shower tends to get very moldy by midyear. The landlord is lovely and quick to address issues, fixing everything within a day or two, but I wouldn't be surprised if the house changes hands next year. On the downside, there's not much counter space or storage in the kitchen, and some of the wiring is a bit dodgy, so be prepared for the occasional blown fuse.
The kitchen and living room heat up quickly and stay warm easily, especially with the curtains drawn, but the bathroom/laundry and back bedroom are freezing and drafty, requiring the doors to be kept closed. There's very little kitchen countertop space, and one bedroom lacks a wardrobe while another only has shelving and a railing. The landlord is a great storyteller, but be prepared for long conversations and the absence of flat checks, which can lead to unexpected phone bills. The best aspects are the location and layout, while the worst are the lack of storage and drafts through the back door. Rent is paid monthly in nine installments, so budgeting is essential.
I had a great experience with my landlord, who was really easy to deal with and fixed any issues ASAP, even replacing the washing machine in just a couple of days. The house has decent sized bedrooms and is in good condition, but the lounge is a bit small. Overall, I appreciated the quick responses and support from my landlord.
The best thing about this flat is definitely the location, but be prepared for loud music from the student houses around you most weekends and some weekdays. The landlord is good at getting things fixed, though not the best at responding quickly or getting things done immediately. Overall, the noise can be quite a downside.
The house is small but very tidy, featuring a new kitchen and bathroom, and it’s reasonably warm. The landlord is a bit odd, but nice enough. The best thing about the place is that it feels warm, though I’m not sure what the worst thing is.
The house is small and easy to warm, with a new oven and a great location close to the university, but it has no sun and suffers from multiple leaks, including a burst pipe and three roof leaks. The kitchen is also small with no storage or microwave, making it less functional. The landlord, who owns many flats, seems overwhelmed and difficult to contact, and he is slow to address maintenance issues, which is the worst aspect of living here. Overall, while the location is a plus, the property needs a lot of maintenance.
The house is really old but just the right size for heating, with a tiny kitchen that warms the lounge in winter and a sunny porch for afternoon drinks. The landlord is really slack, which means no flat inspections, but it took us half a year to get our bond back because he wouldn't return our calls. The best thing about the place was the location, while the worst was that it was pretty run down.
The house itself was fine, and the landlord was decent. The best thing about living here was the overall experience, but the worst part was definitely the neighbours, as the complex has 15 flats, which made things a bit noisy at times.
