The property manager was super warm and friendly, always quick to respond to any complaints, and the landlord was also friendly and efficient. The house itself was so warm, but it did lack character.

The flat has great character, full of quirks and stories, but unfortunately, the property management is incredibly poor. The downstairs area is freezing and damp, with a mouse infestation and grotty carpets. Despite its good location and large rooms, dealing with the rental company was a nightmare; getting our bond back was a drawn-out process, and we received significantly less than agreed upon. I would never rent with them again.
The flat has concrete block walls, making it less than ideal for warmth and coziness, and the only insulation is carpet on the walls. Ventilation is limited to opening windows, which can be problematic while cooking since there’s no extractor fan. The landlord lives in Christchurch, so we never met him, and his delayed and canceled visits affected repairs and made managing flat issues more difficult. The best part was the rent, but the quality of the flat's structure was definitely the worst aspect.
The house is modern with great features like a nice kitchen, double glazing, and insulation, plus it keeps the heat well and comes with a big TV. The landlord seems fine and always gave us plenty of warnings for inspections. The best part is definitely the modern fittings, but the worst is the lack of daylight sun due to some annoying trees; the front flat gets a lot more sunlight.
The flat has a great lounge/kitchen area and is in a prime location, with a sunny balcony and a good outdoor living space. However, it is extremely cold, damp, and moldy, and we faced numerous maintenance issues throughout the year due to the incompetence of the housing manager, who is the owner's son. We had sewage on our back lawn for over a week and went months without working kitchen sockets. Overall, it's a good flat, but the property management was terrible, and I would not use the agency again.
The house is very cheap and conveniently close to uni, but it's also very cold. The landlord is quick and easy to deal with, and friendly, though he lives in Christchurch, so maintenance like lamps and lawns is rarely addressed. Overall, the best thing about this place is the price, but the worst thing is definitely the cold.
The house has a serious mould issue, even if you try to be careful. The landlord doesn't live in Dunedin, which makes it hard to get the flat evaluated and sometimes difficult to contact him. The best thing about the place is definitely the shower, but the mould is a significant downside.
