The location of the flat is the only positive aspect, as the house itself is bad—mouldy, cold, and dirty with dirt in the walls. The property managers are terrible and very stingy, only addressing issues after multiple requests. The bathroom ventilation is just a window that they leave open, making it freezing in winter. Overall, the house will not be clean when you get it.

I lived in a massive flat on Hyde St, which had a cool location and setup, including a great balcony off the back room that was perfect for sunny days and parties. While our landlord was prompt with repairs, we felt slightly duped by the expenses, especially since most damages were caused by outsiders, like a bottle thrown through a window. The worst part was the dampness and mould in the flat, along with random people climbing on our roof during parties. Overall, the location and setup were the best aspects, but the condition of the property left much to be desired.
The landlord just spent around 100k on the house, so while it looks old on the outside, it's awesome on the inside. He is a super genuine guy who has put so much work into making it the perfect student flat. The only downside is the lack of storage space.
I really enjoyed living in a great location on Hyde St, and the community was awesome—I’m still good friends with many of my neighbors. The flat had a good layout, but it was freezing, and the bathroom was only serviceable; the shower pipes froze for part of winter. Our landlord was a decent guy, but he was a bit lax on repairs; when the backyard flooded and water seeped into the lounge, all he could do was provide a dehumidifier.
I really enjoy the good, sweet courtyard, and I appreciate that I never have to deal with the landlord; the property manager only comes around when something needs fixing. The back section is definitely the best part of the flat, but it can get quite cold at times.
The house is great with brand new everything and it’s warm. The landlords are very on to it and expect the rent to be paid on time, so they don’t muck around. The best thing about this place is definitely the location, although the worst part is having to deal with the damages from the Hyde Street parties.
The flat had big rooms and a nice communal living room and kitchen area, but it was quite cold and noisy. The location and size were the best aspects, but dealing with the property manager was frustrating; while the landlord was great, the manager was unreasonable and didn’t return any of our bond.
The house is absolutely freezing, and when it rains outside, it rains inside too. The landlord is strange and often shows up unannounced, just walking around the back and letting himself in. While he puts effort into the external appearance of the house, he clearly doesn't care about the inside, which is just a benchtop kitchen in the lounge. The best thing about this place is the location, but honestly, everything else is the worst.
