North Dunedin, Dunedin

The flat itself isn't cold for a Dunedin flat and is easy to heat, but when we moved in, it was dirty and hadn't been cleaned from the previous year, requiring us to clean the walls, surfaces, and cupboards before moving our stuff in. There were food splatters on the walls from a previous food fight, but overall, the room sizes are decent, and the kitchen and bathroom are relatively new. The landlord responds to our questions promptly, but they often push issues aside; for instance, we requested the removal of a piano over five months ago, and it still hasn't been taken out. Additionally, while the clothesline doesn't get much sun, there are two options for laundry depending on the weather, and the internet is included in the rent. One downside is the noises in the walls, possibly from mice.

The house has uneven room sizes, but the kitchen and lounge are a good size, although it gets freezing cold, making the power bill skyrocket in winter. The landlords are chill, but they're reluctant to get things fixed. The best thing about the place is the shower pressure, but honestly, it's colder than a mofo.
I had a good experience with my landlord, who was very responsive and eager to improve and fix things that needed attention. The best thing about the flat was definitely the landlord, but the worst part was that it was quite cold.
I lived in an absolutely stunning flat with a ton of character, making it a great party spot. The landlord is an absolute lad, which added to the experience. The only downside was the carpet, but the character of the place really made up for it.
The house is conveniently close to the university and supermarket, and it's on the sunny side of Warrender Street, though it can get quite rowdy. The landlord is great and quick to fix any issues, even from out of town. The modern bathroom has the best shower ever, but the area can be cold and noisy at times.
I really like this compact flat, especially the fantastic bathroom. The landlord is amazing and quick to solve any problems, even though she lives out of town. The only downside is that it can get quite cold, particularly in the bedrooms, but the moisture master system helps keep the house dry. The heat pump is small and mainly heats the kitchen and lounge.
The flat is reasonably small, but all but one bedroom are decent-sized, and the living area heats up quickly with an efficient heat pump. While the living/kitchen area can feel cramped when all five tenants are home for dinner, the landlords were fantastic—really lovely people who were easy to contact and always sorted things out promptly. The worst part was the dampness and mould, particularly in one bedroom during our stay, but the landlord was shocked to hear about it and planned to address the issue. On the plus side, the dome over the shower helps prevent mould and keeps the shower nice and hot.
The house has decent-sized bedrooms that can fit queen-size beds and furniture, plus a huge kitchen and a newly built lounge. The water pressure is amazing, but the place is constantly cold and a bit damp. Our landlord, who lives out of town, is responsive to queries, has provided a new dishwasher and microwave this year, and takes care of the garden and backyard—basically, he's an amazing landlord.
I had a great time living in this flat; it's an awesome party spot with a fantastic outdoor area. The landlord is really relaxed and a quality bloke, which made things easier. However, it was super cold inside—colder than outside all day—and that was definitely a downside. We even had a pet pig named Wes last year, which added to the fun!
