I would strongly advise anyone considering this property to do thorough research before renting here. In our experience, the house did not meet Healthy Homes standards during our tenancy, The issues we experienced included severe 99.9% moisture and mould problems, a cockroach infestation, persistent leaking throughout the home, water pooling around the stairwell window sills, roof leaks, and even mushrooms growing from the walls. The stove handle was held on by duct tape and the stove top was heavily corroded. One room was completely uninhabitable for the duration of our tenancy. Some cosmetic work appears to have been completed since, such as new carpets, bathroom vanity, and bathroom flooring. However, cosmetic improvements do not change the serious issues we experienced while living there.Communication with the landlord was extremely difficult, MBIE became involved and the council later deemed the home insanitary earlier this year.
