This flat was okay, with a great location and character, but it definitely needs insulation, new carpets, and some renovation. We loved it in summer, but winter was miserable without the fire, which we couldn't always afford to keep running. We had no contact with the landlord, and while the property manager was nice, they didn't reply to emails.

I found the house to be modern, tidy, and reasonably warm, with the added bonus of three ensuite bathrooms, which was cool since everyone had their own. The landlord was pretty responsive; when the fridge died, it was replaced within a couple of days. However, the noise from Knox College was a downside.
The flat is an older building, but its interior is well kept and nicely furnished, with cosy rooms and a great deck overlooking the valley. The landlord is extremely nice and quick to respond to any issues, always willing to pay for fixes. The best part is definitely the deck and the landlord, though it can get cold if the heating isn't on.
I really like this flat; it's warm for Dunedin, inexpensive, and within walking distance to the Octagon. The property manager is great to deal with and quick to fix any issues, but the landlord needs to invest in some renovations, like double glazing and new carpet, to improve the place further. The best feature is definitely the fireplace, but the lack of long-term investment is a downside.
The kitchen and lounge get lots of sun, which I love, and the washing line is in a prime position. While the front two rooms are bright, they don't get much sun, and the rooms overall are very different in quality. On the plus side, the landlord lives nearby, making it easy to get things fixed. Overall, the house is easy to live in without heating.
The house has a lovely backyard with a grape vine that fruits well when pruned and a hops vine for brewing enthusiasts. Our landlord was pretty reasonable and even let us paint the bedrooms, lounge, and kitchen, which made for an awesome space for creativity. The best part of the flat is its character and open plan, though the downside is that the sun goes down early in the backyard.
The house has a quirky charm, with taps that turn on and off at will and a garden that feels like a carrot farm. The best part is definitely the location and the retro 70s vibe, complete with a disco ball. However, the outdated floors and paint work could use some attention.

I really enjoyed living in this cool house with three bathrooms and ensuites. The best part was having sun all day and being next to the gardens. However, the Knox College student shenanigans could be a bit much at times.
