The house has its pros and cons. While it's modernish and easy to keep clean, I don't think the smoke alarms are in the right place, especially since there's none near the kitchen. Downstairs is warm and gets good sunlight, but there's a cold breeze that seems to come from the poorly sealed windows, and the upstairs toilet lacks a window. Additionally, the property manager takes ages to respond; we contacted him about the smoke alarms multiple times in February, and by early May, we still hadn't heard back. The thin walls and drafts are also a downside.

I live in a tidy modern flat with a great interior, but finding parking is a real challenge, and it's frustrating when others take the designated spots. The landlords are generally easy to talk to and relaxed, though they can be hard to reach and sometimes a bit too laid-back when issues arise. Overall, the parking situation is definitely the worst aspect, especially with multiple tenants having vehicles.
The house is great for keeping heat in and quick to warm up, but the sliding door is very hard to open when it's cold, and I've noticed mould in the bedroom around the walls and on the curtains. The landlord is very relaxed and easy to deal with, though sometimes it feels like they might be too relaxed. The best thing about the place is the water pressure, while the worst is the lack of hot water.
The house has double glazing and stays warm in summer thanks to the afternoon sun, though it can be noisy at times due to being part of a complex. There's one off-street car park for six tenants, which isn't ideal but is useful. The room is a bit smaller than in other flats but relatively warm, and the location is great—close to the town center yet off the street. On the downside, there's no outdoor space, and the landlord has only done two inspections in four years, which has its pros and cons.
The flat has insulation, double-paned windows, and a good heat pump, making it a decent size overall. However, the water pressure is great, but we run out of hot water quickly, and the ventilation system has a shaft in the lounge that’s just a hole to the outside, which we had to cover to keep the draft out. While there's nice sun in the living room and front bedroom during summer, there's no sun at all in winter, and I had difficulty getting the landlord to fix some lights and doors in a timely manner.
The flat is relatively new, which helps it stay warm once heated with the heat pump, but some areas, like the lounge and dining room, get little to no sun in winter and can be quite cold. The property manager at Student Accommodation is really helpful, and any issues we've had have been fixed quickly. Overall, the lack of sun is the main downside.
The landlord was really helpful and only came around when we had previously organized it. The best thing about the flat was how clean and nice it was, plus it had a porch. However, the worst part was that it was cold and quite far away.
The house was really clean and nice, and I loved the porch. The landlord was helpful and only came around when we had organized it in advance. However, it was quite cold and far away from everything.
The house itself was fine, but the best part for me was definitely the kitchen area. The landlord was very good, especially after the new landlord took over later in the year. However, the lack of space was a downside.
