The house has a great location to the university, and all the rooms are a good size. However, the two front rooms get no sun and are really cold, which is the worst part. On the plus side, the landlord is really helpful and gets things done quickly.

The house is pretty cold most of the time, and the kitchen floor is on a lean, but it has character and a great backyard, which is definitely the best thing about it. The two front rooms don’t get much sun, while the other four get plenty. The landlord responds quickly, usually within 1-2 days, and gets things fixed pretty fast, but the freezing temperatures can be a downside.
The flat has character, but I had a tough experience with the landlord, as I took her to tribunal this year regarding the way she treated us and the ordeal we went through. The best part of living here was definitely the boys, while most other things were less than ideal.
I had a great experience living in this flat with a fantastic landlord who responds to any issue immediately and goes out of her way to help. The heat pump and heaters are energy efficient, and the flat itself is really cool with great rooms and a funky kitchen. While the high ceilings can make it a bit cold, the prime location and the many good memories made here, along with the "vomit proof couches," definitely outweigh any downsides.
I had a great experience with my flat rental overall, as the landlords were good and the rooms were all equally great. However, I found it to be probably overpriced, and the cupboards were of crappy quality. The landlord was chill, living out in the wops and not in Dunedin.
The house has a crappy kitchen that does its job, and while the lounge is a bit small, it heats up quickly. The rooms are really big and get great sun, plus there's an awesome backyard and two bathrooms with car parking. The landlord doesn't bother you at all and will fix things if you ask, though it can take a while. The best things are the backyard and big rooms, but the place is old and ugly.
The house has a skylight that leaks, and if you don't run the dishwasher on fast wash, it tends to flood. The landlord is very unresponsive, often showing up without notice and sending 'handy men' instead of actual contractors. On the bright side, the back rooms get good sunlight, but overall, it's a cold place with a crappy landlord.
The flat had some good features, like being reasonably new with nice carpets and good insulation, making it easy to heat the small rooms. However, it lacked a dishwasher and heating, and the absence of an extractor fan made the kitchen extremely damp. The landlord was a nice lady and pretty easy to deal with, but overall, the small size and missing amenities were significant downsides.
I really love this flat; although it's slightly older and a bit retro, the extra space is so worthwhile. It's a very homely place with spacious rooms and a great backyard for summer, though the front two rooms can be pretty cold. The landlord is a nice guy who doesn't interfere much, which I appreciate for the privacy. The only downside is the ugly carpet, but for the area, it's one of the cheapest options available!
The house is super warm and gets lots of sun, which I really appreciate. However, it can be very loud from the bottom floor. The landlord is very friendly, making the experience better overall, but the noise is definitely the worst part.
The house has a small lounge and kitchen area, and it’s not soundproof at all—I could hear the people upstairs going to the toilet, which was quite annoying. The bathrooms were the best feature, but I felt the landlord charged too much for the bond. Overall, the lack of soundproofing was the worst part of my experience.
The house has a great location, which is definitely the best thing about it. The landlord is pretty easy to deal with, although he’s not around sometimes. On the downside, the place can get quite cold.
