The house has a good location right next to the university, with reasonably sized rooms. It can get cold in winter, but as long as you're not stingy with power, you'll be fine. The landlord is awesome, always responding quickly and even coming by twice in one day to help us out, despite it being our fault. Overall, the best thing about this place is definitely the location, while the temperature can be a downside.

I really like this flat overall; the downstairs kitchen and lounge create a nice open area, and the rooms are a decent size. The landlord is great—always willing to help with repairs and keeps the garden tidy, plus he gives a day's notice before visiting. The big open lounge is definitely the best feature, although some rooms do have poor sunlight. It's also super handy being just a 10-minute walk to Uni.
I had a great experience living in this flat. The landlord is amazing—always quick to help and communicate, plus he keeps the garden well maintained. The rooms are a good size, and the lounge is a nice communal area, with plenty of kitchen storage. The location is fantastic, and the back garden is perfect for summer, although the flat can be quite cold in winter, which is typical for Dunedin.
The house has mean showers, which are definitely the best feature. However, the landlord is a bit of a grandma and freaks out about any mess, making it a bit stressful. On the downside, the kitchen leaves much to be desired.
The house is colder than expected, with lots of mold and paper-thin walls that let you hear everything. The rooms on the riverside get no sunlight, and the downstairs shower floods constantly. While the landlord seems attentive and eventually sorts out broken appliances, it can be hard to reach her, and I doubt the insulation and double glazing claims. The best part is the name and the balcony, but the lack of sun is definitely the worst aspect.
The flat has a big lounge with new carpet and a nice front yard, but it also has mould, and the landlord refuses to improve the shower ventilation. The hot water cylinder is tiny, limiting us to three quick showers in the morning, and there’s no sun at all, with big street-facing windows compromising our privacy. The landlord is uncooperative, entering the property unannounced and adding clauses to the tenancy agreement that feel like ransom, and while the location is decent, the landlord truly lives up to the horror stories you hear.
The flat is tidy and neat, with double glazing and insulation that makes it easy to heat with the heat pump, which is great since it doesn't get much sunlight. However, there's a lot of noise from the upstairs flat, and the lack of extraction fans in the kitchen and bathrooms leads to a moisture problem and mould, so I have to keep the windows open most of the day. Off-street parking is a bonus, but sharing a driveway can be a hassle. On the plus side, the landlord is really easy to communicate with and addresses any issues quickly, and the flat comes fully furnished with nice big rooms, which I really appreciate.
I had a great experience living in this flat, thanks to an amazing landlord who is very prompt with queries. The house gets lots of sun in the lounge and most bedrooms, which I loved. However, the thin walls and the shower pressure were noticeable downsides. Overall, the landlord and the sunlight were definitely the best aspects of my stay.
The house has a big lounge, but everything else is a problem. The landlord is very difficult, showing up almost every week unannounced, knocking on bedroom windows while we're asleep, and even stealing our bond money. The place is cold, damp, and mouldy, with no sun at all.
The back two bedrooms are freezing and get no sun, while the lounge is really warm and gets heaps of sun, which dries my washing quickly on sunny days. The walls are paper thin, so I can hear everything. The landlord is a real sweetie who usually responds to texts quickly and tries to get things done ASAP. Overall, the warm lounge and dining area are the best features, but the cold bedrooms are definitely a downside.
The flat has a small kitchen with very limited storage, which is definitely its worst feature. However, the big lounge is the best part, providing great afternoon sun and retaining heat well. The landlord is responsive to queries, but we don't appreciate her showing up unannounced, which I’m pretty sure she can't do.
The flat has a great living room that holds heat well and comes fully furnished, which I really appreciate. However, the kitchen has poor storage, and the floors can be quite creaky. The landlord is very good at fixing issues promptly, even though I don't see them often. Overall, the living room is definitely the best feature, while the kitchen storage is the worst.
I found the flat to have a big sunny lounge, which is definitely the best feature. However, the small kitchen has very limited storage, making it a bit challenging. The landlord is friendly and quick to respond, which is a plus. Overall, it’s a fully furnished place that has its pros and cons.
The flat has really thin walls, which can be a downside along with the creaky floorboards. However, the best thing about it is that when it's sunny, it gets so warm! The landlord seems pretty on to it and always wants to do what she can to help.
The house has very thin walls, no underlay in the carpet, and creaky stairs, plus there's no sun in the back room. The landlord is intense and often pops over randomly. The best part is the carpark area out front, but the worst is definitely the lack of insulation and soundproofing.
The house has a lack of sun, which can be a downside, and it tends to be cold and noisy at times. However, the open plan kitchen is a highlight, and I appreciate the good quality of the space. The landlord encourages tenants to ask for improvements, which is a positive aspect.
