The flat is located in the bottom of the Leith Valley, making it quite cold and damp, and it lacks adequate heating amenities for the area. We only have one heat pump in the kitchen/lounge, which isn't effective for the rest of the house, and alternative heating in the bedrooms is too expensive to use often. Unfortunately, I've found mould growing on my clothes in my wardrobe and even in suitcases under my bed, which shouldn't happen in a dry, healthy house. On a positive note, the landlord is lovely and has been very understanding; he even installed double-glazed windows and brought us gifts as an apology for the inconvenience. The kitchen is pretty nice, but the worst part has definitely been finding my clothes mouldy and having to throw them out.

The house is nicely presented, which I really appreciate. However, the long walk to uni can be a bit of a downside. Overall, it's a decent place to live.
