The house has no insulation, making it very cold on bad days and at night, although the lovely sunny conservatory upstairs is a highlight. Unfortunately, the windows are old and the curtains broken, leading to poor heat retention, and the bathroom can get slightly mouldy, though no other room has this issue. The property manager is nice, but I found the house dirty upon moving in, with dust and dirt on the floors, walls, and windowsills, and I know previous tenants were charged for cleaning services at the end of the year. Overall, the location is really good, but the cold is definitely the worst part.

I appreciated the big room downstairs in the flat, and having a bathtub was a nice touch. However, the lack of a lounge was a downside for me.
The house has a great spa bath and a fantastic kitchen, but the worst part is the lack of a living room. Unfortunately, my experience with the landlord has been terrible. She is the worst property manager I've ever dealt with—very unresponsive, leaves the flat untidy when moving in, and tries to charge for cleaning fees that seem to go straight into her pocket based on the state of her flats.
I had a massive downstairs room with a dryer, spa bath, sun room, and a stained glass window, which was great. Jenny, our landlord, was generally easy to deal with, although she tried to overcharge us for cleaning fees at the end, claiming the oven needed more cleaning when we had already scrubbed it well. The flat was well priced at the time, but the big room was so cold, there was no lounge, and the backyard got really soggy in winter. Plus, the Dundas steps were a mission!
