I had a mixed experience living in this flat. The best landlords in the world, Jamie and Jody, are incredibly responsive and lovely, which really made a difference. However, the house is old and uninsulated, leading to issues with cold and damp, especially in the kitchen and bathroom where mould forms easily. The tiny kitchen and steep stairway were challenging, but the gorgeous sunny backyard and low rent for the location were definite highlights.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with the flat. For a cheap, 150-year-old place at $87 a week and so close to Uni, you really can't ask for much more. The landlords are the best; they respond quickly to any issues and are genuinely nice to chat with. The kitchen and bathroom have been recently renovated, and while the flat can be damp and cold, it has great character and a nice sunny backyard. The only downside was discovering a hole in the floor when I moved in, but I’m looking forward to the renovations this summer.
The flat is very damp, gets no sunlight or warmth from outside, and has mice problems. The previous landlord from Edinburgh Realty was terrible, but the new landlord is okay. It's almost worth the price of $85 per week, but overall, it is a shit hole, plain and simple.
The house is OK, and the landlord is also OK. The best thing about the place? Um, I’m not really sure. As for the worst thing, I dunno.
The house had holes everywhere, which was definitely a downside. On the bright side, it came with a flatscreen and leather couches, which I appreciated. Overall, I would advise future renters to look for holes before committing.
When I first moved in, there were slugs in the lounge, but they’re gone now. The house has a good outdoor area, and the landlord is nice and responsive—just contact them with any issues. The best part is definitely the price and location, though the slugs at the start of the year were a bit off-putting.
