I felt heavy pressure to sign the rental lease without a proper pre-inspection, and the landlords were slow to address dangerous issues like exposed live electrical wiring. They showed aggressive behavior when I raised concerns and conducted inspections without adequate notice, often arriving at inconvenient times. Despite high rent for the property's quality and no bond being lodged, I had to manage all maintenance myself, which led to rude treatment if the garden wasn't up to their unspecified standards. The best part was leaving, although I did enjoy the small front deck in summer.

The house is spacious for a former state house and conveniently located near transport and multiple supermarkets, with usually quiet neighbors and a sunny front deck in summer. However, the landlord has been problematic, refusing to lodge the bond with MBIE, returning the bond to the previous tenant, and being slow to address maintenance issues. The excessive rent and poor insulation, making it very cold in winter, are also significant downsides.
