The lounge is definitely the best room in the house, enjoying all-day sun year-round, although it can get cold in winter—nothing a few blankets and layers can't fix. The landlord is an all-around great guy, and we have a fantastic property manager. While the energy-efficient heaters in each room help, the high ceilings and massive hallway make it tough to retain heat during winter.

The lounge gets good natural light, and the backyard is nice, plus I appreciate the high ceilings and the under stairs wardrobe. However, the side bedroom only gets sun for a couple of hours in the morning, leading to black mould. The property managers were fairly easy to deal with and even installed a steam catcher over the shower for energy efficiency, always giving appropriate notice before inspections. Just be prepared for it to be cold in winter; you'll need to run a dehumidifier or risk getting quite ill.
