The house can be very cold, to the point where I can see my breath inside, but it has a nice location. There's a gang house next door, but I don't see them and they seem fine. The property manager is typical of what I've experienced elsewhere. The best part is definitely the lounge setup, but the cold is definitely the worst aspect.

The house had a dodgy appearance, looking like it was built by cowboy builders, and I encountered drug users and violence during my time there. The landlord seemed to be just in it for the money. The best part of my experience was definitely moving out, while the worst was moving in.
The landlords are great and very friendly, as they fix most problems themselves since they're builders. The house is very warm, and the other tenants are nice and not loud. The only downside is that it's a 40-minute walk to get to places.
The property managers eventually respond to issues, but ongoing problems can take months to fix, often done cheaply without considering aesthetics. The best part of living here is the people, but the worst was dealing with a leaking roof that took three days of rain inside the house before it was addressed, despite our complaints and a threatening letter. They initially claimed there was nothing wrong until we stopped paying rent, and then it was fixed just two days later.
The house features beautiful Kauri floors and a cozy wood burner, which are definitely the best aspects. However, I found the master bedroom to be quite cold, which was a downside. Overall, it has its charm, but the temperature in the bedroom could be improved.
