The flat itself was really nice, featuring large bay windows in the front rooms that face the harbour and peninsula, but the kitchen is small and narrow, and the laundry is outside in a shed without a covered walkway. The landlady is a bit fussy about tidiness and goes through tenancy details in great detail, but she's nice to deal with and responds quickly to any issues. It did take almost a year for her to get the gardener to clear the hedges blocking sunlight from the back rooms, but I'm assuming the rooms are much better for it now.

The house is quite cold, and the bath and shower are combined, which isn't ideal. The kitchen feels cramped, and the shower has very low pressure with a temperature control that's overly sensitive. On the plus side, the large bedrooms are a highlight. The landlord is a bit fussy about tidiness but is generally good to deal with and quick to respond to any issues, though the shower remains the worst aspect of the flat.
