I found the flat to be really nice in summer with awesome, large rooms, but it gets very cold in winter due to poor insulation, and I ended up dealing with mould issues. The bathroom was just okay, and while the kitchen worked well for three people, the walk to campus became a challenge, especially in the icy months. The landlord was generally responsive for small issues but resistant with larger ones, and I wouldn't want to live there for a whole year again, despite the cheap rent.

The rooms in the flat are huge but cold, which is typical for Dunedin, and we didn't use heating. I didn't have to replace any clothing due to mould, but the shower wasn't great and was set to be replaced at the end of the year. The landlord was pretty good at handling small issues, though they wouldn't fix leaks. Overall, the best thing about the flat is definitely the room size, while the worst part was the shower.

The house is awesome in summer with big French doors and huge rooms, but it gets very cold and damp in winter. The landlord is quick to fix small issues, though they seem a bit more reluctant to address ongoing problems. Overall, the best part is definitely the room sizes and outdoor flow during the warmer months, while the worst aspect is the winter chill.
