The kitchen is slightly small for the number of rooms, especially when cooking separately, and the bench space is a major issue. The bathroom isn't in the greatest state; despite repeated deep cleaning, the bath/shower and sink remain scummy, and it often smells musty, although keeping the window open helps. The house leans a bit, and while the road noise is manageable, thin walls can make nighttime partygoers annoying. On the upside, the outdoor space is fantastic for parties, the lounge and rooms heat up quickly, and the location is less than a 10-minute walk to central and close to Macca's. The landlord is a chilled-out, reasonable guy who responds quickly to queries.

The house has thin walls, soft wallpaper stapled in most places, and an uneven floor, which makes it uncomfortable, especially with the constant traffic noise that shakes the house whenever a truck goes by. The small kitchen is in an extension off a tiny living room, and the bathroom is eternally damp. While the landlord is reasonable to deal with, they seem pretty jaded from past experiences with bad tenants. The best thing about the place is its proximity to campus, but the street noise is definitely the worst aspect.
