The house has character and is conveniently close to the university, which is definitely the best thing about it. The bathrooms are nice, but the shower pressure isn't great and turns off when it's hot. It gets really cold and damp, and the condensation never seems to dry out. On the plus side, the landlord is fast at replying, although some issues need to be asked about a few times.

The house has real character with its murals and nice wooden stair rail, and it's pretty warm compared to other flats. The courtyard feels safe since it's shut off from the outside, and the upstairs back room with stairs into the courtyard is quite cool. Our landlord is relatively nice and responsive, though she seems friendlier when you first sign than at the end of the year. The best part is how super close we are to everything, but the worst is the creaky floors upstairs, which can be quite noisy.

The flat is quite cold and can get damp, with my non-north-facing room developing some black mould while I was away. The lounge is dark, but it can be made homely, while the spacious kitchen is definitely the best feature. The showers have good pressure, and the location is great for the price. The landlord is lovely and usually very responsive when needed.

The house is very cold and has a noticeable lean, causing many windows to not close properly, but it’s great fun for a flat, especially with the bathrooms being connected for early morning shower chats. The landlord is pretty okay—hard to predict, sometimes nice and sometimes mean, so it’s best to catch her on a good day. The location and backyard are the best features, but the lounge is quite small.

Overall, this flat is decent for its location and price, with most rooms being well-sized and a good kitchen and bathrooms. However, it gets almost no natural light, and I often found myself seeing my breath indoors. The property manager started off fine but became unresponsive after we paid our bond, ignoring our concerns about roof leaks and then complaining about mold at the next inspection. While the backyard is nice and the lounge is spacious, I wouldn't live here again unless I was prepared to crank the heat pump or be drunk.
