1 Clyde Street

The flat itself is pretty old and doesn’t have any double glazing or insulation making it pretty cold and damp, especially in winter. The main good thing about this flat is that it’s very close to Otago campus, the supermarket and town, making it pretty convenient. However, I don’t think it’s worth the current price for rent. From personal experience the landlord was good at communicating via email but any maintenance that was needed got done pretty slowly by the repairs guy (same guy for all of the properties the landlord owns). My flatmates and I all found out the hard way that the house cannot handle running a heater in every bedroom and there will be a power outage! Overall, decent second year flat (better than castle lol) but not an amazing flat.
