The house is very cold in winter, but the incredible fireplace helps. I love the large rooms and the great location, plus the rent is so cheap! The landlord is a lovely old lady who used to live here, but she can be a bit fickle and takes her time with repairs—like when we had a leak that took over two weeks to fix. If you have patience, she's great, but just be prepared for her old-school ways, like handwritten contracts.

The house has its quirks, like blinds that start halfway down the windows and only one room that gets a lot of direct sun, which is definitely the worst thing about it. However, the best thing is the location. The landlord can be a bit challenging to deal with, but he's generally helpful if you persist.

The house features double glazing, which is a plus, but the upstairs neighbors can be quite bothersome, and there isn't much natural light. The best thing about the flat is definitely the location. If you decide to rent here, just be persistent with the landlord.

The house had poor insulation, creaking noises everywhere, and was not professionally cleaned from the previous year. Hot water took ages to heat up, and the landlord failed to maintain the section as agreed, leading to astronomical power bills due to inefficient systems and dangerous old wiring. On the bright side, we had a sweet little old lady for a landlord who was more concerned about curtains than carpet stains, and while she frequently called just for a chat, we appreciated the large deadlocks, the fireplace, the reasonable rent, and the privacy from the adjacent road. Unfortunately, the uninsulated walls and roof contributed to mould build-up, which we couldn't prevent even if we tried.
