The house is very cold in winter, but the incredible fireplace helps. I love the large rooms and the great location, plus the rent is so cheap! The landlord is a lovely old lady who used to live here, but she can be a bit fickle and takes her time with repairs—like when we had a leak that took over two weeks to fix. If you have patience, she's great, but just be prepared for her old-school ways, like handwritten contracts.

On the bright side, we had a sweet little old lady for a landlord who was more concerned about curtains than carpet stains, and while she frequently called just for a chat, we appreciated the large deadlocks, the fireplace, the reasonable rent, and the privacy from the adjacent road. Unfortunately, the uninsulated walls and roof contributed to mould build-up, which we couldn't prevent even if we tried.
