The flat gets a decent amount of sun in the summer, but in winter, especially in the mornings, it can be quite cold and lacks warmth. While it's conveniently close to New Worlds, just 30 seconds away, it's a decent distance from uni, and walking to town can take up half your day. The property manager was really good at addressing issues quickly, like fixing a roof leak within two hours, but he often didn't give the promised 24 hours notice before inspections, which could be a hassle. Overall, the rooms are small but fine for my needs, though the loud water heater can wake people up.

The house has a small kitchen but an amazing bathroom, with more space in the lounge and bedroom than we could dream of. The restaurant below is surprisingly quiet, and the kitchen heat keeps the place warm when temperatures are positive. Harcourts, our property manager, is always responsive and nice. The best part is the amazing space and the privacy of having no flatmates while not paying an outrageous amount, though the house is old and built on a slant, causing some internal doors and cupboards not to fit perfectly in their frames, but they are still airtight.

The house has a very dodgy-looking chimney with huge cracks that make it seem like it could fall over at any time, and I worry it would be completely destroyed in an earthquake. On the plus side, the location is great—close to the supermarket, gardens, New World, and the university. However, the extremely loud noise from Pet Planet, Inch Bar, and passing cars and people is quite bothersome.

The house has a very dodgy-looking chimney with huge cracks that seem like it could fall over at any time, and I worry it would be completely decimated in an earthquake. On the plus side, the location is great—close to the supermarket, gardens, and uni. However, the extremely loud noise from Pet Planet, Inch Bar, and the surrounding cars and people is a major downside.
