The upstairs rooms are all insulated and double glazed, making the house very warm and handy for drying clothes in the attic. However, the lounge, kitchen, and bathrooms need attention, particularly regarding ventilation and the soft floors, although the showers have domes to help prevent mould. The landlord can be difficult to reach due to managing multiple properties, but they respond fairly quickly to maintenance issues. The best feature is the double glazed windows that keep the place dry, while the worst is the old oven.

The flat was quite cold and very old, making it prone to mould, so I recommend running dehumidifiers during your free hour of power. We adjusted the rent since the back room was smaller and colder in winter. Overall, it was a fine flat, but it felt overpriced, especially since I heard they raised the price. The best part was the location and the shared backyard along the river, but the high ceilings and drafts were definitely the worst aspects. The landlords are a lovely couple who genuinely want to help, but you need to stay on top of them about repairs and ensure everything is documented legally.

The best thing about this flat is definitely the location; it's just a minute's walk from campus, which justifies the $145 p/w rent. However, the downstairs rooms are cold with minimal insulation and thin curtains, while the upstairs rooms are larger and better insulated. The lounge lacks sunlight, leading to mold growth, and although the property manager can be difficult to reach, he did replace our broken TV quickly. Overall, it's an expensive and cold place to live.

My flat is ancient and not well insulated, so it can be quite cold and noisy, but the location and natural light are good. My landlord is nice and reliable, which is a plus. The best thing about living here is definitely my bed, while the worst thing has to be the shower.

I find the house to be clean, big, comfortable, organized, warm, and modern. The University Flats Property Manager is always willing to help us, quickly responding to our questions and requests, like replacing lightbulbs. The best thing about living here is how comfortable it is, though the small bathroom is a downside.

The house has double glazing upstairs, which is definitely the best feature. The landlord was very easy to contact and deal with, making the rental process smooth. However, we did notice some mould when we arrived, which was disappointing.

The house is spacious, comfortable, warm, organized, and clean, and it doesn’t look old. The property manager from University of Otago Flats is always willing to help, providing important information and quickly addressing our doubts and requests, like replacing a lightbulb. The best thing about the flat is its comfort, but the worst is the small toilet, which is separated from the shower.

I really enjoyed living in this flat due to its very good location to Uni, and the nice garden that gets a lot of sun. The landlord was very quick in responding to emails and handled repairs within a few days. The best thing about the place was definitely the location, but the worst was that the kitchen gets very cold in winter.

The house has great arch designs and is spacious and pretty, but the loud toilet can be quite annoying. I also feel like the piano is missing a depress pedal, which is a bit disappointing. Overall, it's a decent place to live.

The house has mostly large bedrooms and three bathrooms, but the lounge is small and cold since the house behind blocks most of the sun. The flat is managed by a property manager, so I had no direct contact with the landlord. The best features are the TV, leather couches, and the great location, while the worst aspects are the old oven and the lack of sunlight.

I lived in a newish flat that had a spacious laundry and storage, with a lounge that got plenty of sun and a driveway. The best things about the place were its warmth and location. However, dealing with the landlord was frustrating; she talked a lot but didn’t get things done unless I followed up several times.

The house is cold, mouldy, and damp, but it has a good location and a big lounge and kitchen area, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the landlord was very rude and took a large amount of our bond at the end of the year for things that could have been done cheaper. Overall, the big lounge and kitchen were the best aspects, while the cold and damp conditions were the worst.

The bottom room is very noisy with people walking around in the lounge, and the walls between rooms are extremely thin, making it hard to find privacy. The lounge is an awkward size for six people, and it was extremely cold during my stay. On the plus side, I appreciated the access to the deck from the lounge, and the landlord, being from the University, was quick to address any problems.
